The 4-star Hotel Grones is very quiet yet centrally located on the sunny side of Ortisei in Val Gardena, with a fantastic panoramic view of the mountain.

A short 6-7 minutes footpath via the beautiful Luis Trenker Promenade, which was built following the discontinued historic railway line, takes you to the attractive and vehicle-free village center of Ortisei. Here you benefit from a variety of shops, bars and cafés. The pedestrian zone is the perfect place for a nice shopping spree.

How to reach us

By car:
From the north follow the Brennero Motorway A22 – take the exit Chiusa/Val Gardena – drive along the well signed road to Val Gardena (20-minute drive).
From the south follow Verona/Bolzano/Chiusa – take the exit Chiusa/Val Gardena and drive along the well signed road to Val Gardena (20-minute drive).

Once you reached Ortisei, you can choose between two options to get to the Hotel Grones:

Option 1: Yellow route
Take the second exit up to the left at the first roundabout and the second exit at the next roundabout and turn lightly right after approx. 120 m into the Stufan street.
Drive along the Stufan street until after ca. 500 m you see the Hotel Grones on your right hand side.

Option 2: Red route
Take the first exit at the first roundabout and drive through the tunnel along the main street. Turn left after the first traffic light and then turn to your right. Drive along the Rezia street and turn left after approx. 500 meters. Hotel Grones is situated on your lift hand side.

• Verona Airport (about 190 km - 2 hours)
• Brescia Airport (about 230 km - 2 hours 20 minutes)
• Bergamo Airport (about 270 km - 2 hours 45 minutes)
• Treviso airport (170 km - 3 hours)

By train:
From Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium: IC and EC - connections from Munich, Innsbruck, Brennero to Bressanone or Bolzano. Regional trains stop also in Chiusa. A bus service brings you from Bressanone and Bolzano almost every hour to Val Gardena.
